Que for the Blue started as an idea from a group of people who felt compelled to do something more for San Antonio’s law enforcement community, following the events involving Det. Ben Marconi. Because of the amazing outpouring of the community and with the encouragement from our first responders, we are now an annual event.
During our first full year we have learned some important facts, one of the most important being that there is a real need to help the injured regarding all first responders. This includes, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and volunteer firefighters in the Alamo area. That is where we come in, yes, we will still contribute to the fallen, but our main goal is to the injured and to accomplish two things:
First, to be able to provide financial assistance to the injured.
Secondly, to raise public awareness on just how important our cause is, as well as the plight of the recovery for first responders, the recovery of the family, and their financial burdens.
The need is strong and we are limited financially, but with your help, we can all make a difference in the life of a first responder today.
Thank you for your support and remember, "When we call 911 they come. Well, now its our turn to show up."
God bless,
